I'm Peter van Boom, 58 years old and I'm the owner of Wilde Campers. I started my life as a camper with a very small Suzuki mini van. Since that time I have travelled a lot by camper, from Volkswagen T1 vans to converted citybusses with a woodstove. From 2009 untill 2016 I travelled fulltime with a 4x4 camper truck through South America and Africa. Before that I worked in the travel industry, mostly for the Emergency Centre of the ANWB (the Royal Dutch Touring Club). Travelling by camper is in my blood and by renting out campers I would like to let others enjoy this great way of travelling. I enjoy travelling with a small camper van the most because it gives you the best sensation of freedom and adventure. Our camper vans are real camping cars: you never lose touch with the outside and you can be on your way to new horizons in minutes.

The Wildebeast or Gnu is one of my favorite animals. I will never forget the view of thousands of wildebeast crossing the Mara river. The name of Wilde Campers and our logo are a tribute to these tireless en fearless travellers.
